Description
The Asian grass lizard, six-striped long-tailed lizard, or long-tailed grass lizard (Takydromus sexlineatus) is an arboreal, diurnal species of lizard. The tail length is usually over three times the body (snout to vent) length in this species.

Asian grass lizard is an insectivorous reptile, predominantly consuming invertebrates. Its diet largely consists of ants, beetles and spiders, but also includes various soft-bodied insects and moth larvae when available.
Appearance
Asian grass lizard is a small lizard known for its slender and elongated body, covered with smooth, glossy skin. This reptile is generally brownish-green or grey, with six vivid yellow to olive-green longitudinal stripes adorning its body. It carries a long tapering tail, which can be twice the length of its body. No significant appearance distinctions based on age or gender have been noted.
Behavior
Asian grass lizard typically performs its foraging at dusk, primarily subsisting on a diet of insects. This species is solitary, with individual behaviors being territorial. Distinctively, during mating seasons, males perform vigorous push-ups to attract females. Adapted to its habitat, asian grass lizard is extremely agile, swiftly running through vegetation, avoiding predators.
