Appearance
Mexican giant musk turtle is a large, robust turtle with a domed shell that spans up to 32 cm in females, 28 cm in males. Its skin and shell display a kaleidoscope of black, brown, and green. The shell possesses distinctive hinged plastrons while its square-shaped head and strong jaws are marked by inconspicuous ears. Notably, males have longer and thicker tails than females.
Behavior
