Appearance
Royal snake is a large, slender snake with glossy scales. It exhibits reddish-brown to greyish overall coloration which is uniformly spread over the body, with a distinct dark brown or black stripe running from the eye to the corner of the mouth. It also has a bright yellow underbelly. There's no significant difference in appearance due to age, gender or subspecies in this species.
Behavior
Royal snake exhibits solitary and aggressive behavior; it fiercely protects its territory and won't hesitate to strike when threatened. This species is crepuscular, primarily hunting at dawn or dusk utilizing its excellent camouflage. Preys are pursued actively, rather than ambushed.
