 The four-eyed turtle (Sacalia quadriocellata) is a reptile of the order Testudines. Its name refers to two bright yellow or green spots that occur on the back of its head that can look like another pair of eyes.

 Chinese false-eyed turtle is a predominantly herbivorous species. It subsists largely on a diet of leafy greens, including algae, aquatic plants, and certain terrestrial vegetables, exploiting its environment for nutritious food resources. 
   Appearance
 Chinese false-eyed turtle is a small to medium-sized turtle with a relatively flat carapace typically ranging in shades of dark brown to black. It is distinctively marked with four eye-like spots, hence the name 'Four-Eyed Turtle'. Both genders possess these features, but males have longer and thicker tails. 
   Behavior
 Chinese false-eyed turtle tends to lead a primarily solitary lifestyle, typically engaging in basking and hunting during the day. They are known for their unique eye-spot markings which they use in predation deterrence. This species nests in soil and generally exhibits a non-aggressive territorial behavior.
