Appearance
Pyrenean chamois is a medium-sized mammal with a sturdy, slim body covered in dense short fur. Its coat color varies, from reddish-brown in summer to greyish-brown in winter, lightening under the belly. Pyrenean chamois is recognized for its conspicuous, hook-shaped horns, permanent and present in both sexes, however, males have thicker and longer ones. No notable differences exist for subspecies or age in appearance.
