 The painted wood turtle or spot-legged wood turtle (Rhinoclemmys punctularia) is a species of turtle belonging to the genus Rhinoclemmys of the family Geoemydidae.

   Appearance
 Upper orinoco spot-legged turtle is a moderate-sized turtle with an oblong body shape. Its shell is distinctly dark brown, featuring yellow spots and streaks. The skin comes in an array of colours, from yellowish to olive with darker spots. It has a robust, muscular tail. There are no significant variances in physical appearance due to age, gender, or subspecies.
