Diet
Common frog primarily is an insectivorous species with a significant intake of arthropods. Its diet includes beetles, spiders, snails, and worms, reflecting a preference for prey found in its grassland and woodland habitats.
Appearance
Common frog is a medium-sized amphibian with smooth skin, typically ranging from 6 to 9 centimeters in length. Its body color ranges from brown to grayish-green, often adorned with random darker blotches. The species is characterized by its large, protruding eyes, a pointed snout, and strong hind limbs designed for jumping. The males usually have dark-colored vocal sacs. Notably, common frog lacks any sort of tail, as is common among all adult frogs.
Behavior
Common frog, a primarily solitary animal, is active both day and night, alternating periods of foraging and resting. Known for its remarkable reproductive habits, males establish territories and vigorously vocalize to attract females during the breeding season.
