Description
The Sinai agama (Pseudotrapelus sinaitus, formerly Agama sinaita) is an agamid lizard found in arid areas of southeastern Libya, eastern Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, eastern Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Djibouti.

Appearance
Sinai agama is a medium-sized lizard distinguished by its flattened body and rough, scaly hide, contributing to its effective camouflage. Adults exhibit various shades of brown with a distinctive bright blue throat in males, whereas females are generally a duller brown all over. This species possesses long, thin legs with sharp claws for adept climbing and lacks any unique appendages like horns or wings.
Behavior
Relatively solitary, sinai agama are diurnal agamids known for their adaptive survival skills in harsh arid environments. They exhibit unique rock-climbing capabilities, resembling swift agile movements. Strictly insectivorous, sinai agama employs efficient hunting techniques like sprinting and lunging at their prey. They display distinctive blue coloration during mating season, indicative of their sexual dimorphic attributes. Their territoriality extends minimally, mainly during mating season.
