Description
The olive grass racer is a medium-sized to relatively large, venomous snake native to Africa, widespread and common within its native habitat. Fortunately, the venom is mild and harmless to humans. The species has developed an antipredator mechanism – when attacked, it can easily detach its tail and escape from the predator.

Appearance
Olive grass racer is a medium-sized, slender snake with smooth, shiny scales. This serpent lacks any distinctive appendages such as wings or horns. Both males and females exhibit the same coloration and patterns with no significant variations in appearance based on age or gender.
Behavior
Olive grass racer displays solitary, non-aggressive tendencies, primarily active during the day. It hunts for prey using swift, stealthy movements and overwhelms its victims through constriction. This species has a unique defensive behavior of flattening its body and hissing when threatened. Olive grass racer doesn't engage in territorial marking but has been observed to display dominance through physical confrontations.
