Diet
Dwarf bearded dragon is predominantly insectivorous, primarily feeding on a variety of insects. Besides that, its diet also comprises palatable vegetables and fruits, occasionally supplemented with small vertebrates.
Appearance
Dwarf bearded dragon is a small to medium-sized lizard with a flattened body and triangular-shaped head. Its scaly skin exhibits a variety of colors, from sandy light grey to darker shades of brown, reflecting the lizard's natural desert habitat. The body is adorned with a spiny 'beard' around the neck. Unlike some types of lizards, there is little visual distinction between males and females or among various ages.
Behavior
Dwarf bearded dragon is a solitary and territorial animal, spending its diurnal hours basking, foraging, and maintaining its territory. This species displays unique postural communication involving a sequence of subtle head bobs and arm-waves. Although generally non-aggressive, males will vigorously defend their territory. Dwarf bearded dragon adapts to arid environments, covering itself with soil as camouflage and thermal regulation.
