Description
The Caddo Mountain salamander (Plethodon caddoensis) is a species of salamander in the family Plethodontidae endemic to Arkansas in the south-central United States, and only known from the Caddo Mountains, a part of the Ouachita Mountains.

Appearance
Caddo mountain salamander is a small, slender salamander, noted for its smooth, moist skin. Its color is predominantly dark brown, adorned with a series of irregular white spots across the back. Caddo mountain salamander lacks external ears and has a long tail, contributing to over half of its total length. Males and females share similar appearance, with no particular sexual dimorphism observed.
