   Diet
Yellow heart-tongued frog relies primarily on a carnivorous diet, consuming small invertebrates. It uses its specialized tongue to rapidly snatch preys such as ants, spiders, and small insects, demonstrating an opportunistic feeding behavior.
   Appearance
Yellow heart-tongued frog is a small frog with a streamlined body shape. It has smooth, glossy skin which ranges from yellow to light green. One of its distinctive features is the presence of a protrusion or 'snout' on its nose. Markings include dark irregular spots and stripes. The males are often brighter in color compared to females. Their tadpoles are transparent and display visible internal organs.
   Behavior
Yellow heart-tongued frog shows diurnal activity, primarily recognised for employing a unique reproductive strategy: the males carry fertilized eggs on their back until they hatch into tadpoles. Notably, this species favours a solitary lifestyle, and displays territoriality, typically marking their territory using vocal signals. Adapted to a arboreal lifestyle, yellow heart-tongued frog notably spends most of its life in bromeliads.
