Description
Found on the island of Taiwan, the atayal slug-eating snake is a goofy-looking terrestrial snake with a large head on a slim neck and huge eyes. It inhabits wetlands and wet forests, is nocturnal, and predictably, eats slugs and land snails. It is a relatively newly discovered species, catalogued in 2009.
