Description
Mouflon sheep have reddish to dark brown, short-haired coats with dark back stripes and black ventral areas and light-colored saddle patches. The males are horned; some females are horned, while others are polled. The horns of mature rams are curved in almost one full revolution (up to 85 cm). Mouflon have shoulder heights around 0.9 m and body weights of 50 kg (males) and 35 kg (females).

Lifespan
10-12 years
Diet
As herbivores, sheep primarily thrive on vegetation. They have a predilection for grasses and clovers, frequently complementing their diet with shrubs, forbs, and edible plant materials, augmenting their nutritional intake.
Appearance
Sheep have a robust, compact body and are generally covered in woolly fur, which ranges in color from white to brown and black. Males often have thick, curled horns, but females may be either horned or hornless. Young ones, or lambs, have a soft, woolly coat that hardens as they grow. Distinctive features include a large head, pointed ears, and a short tail.
Behavior
Sheep display social, gregarious behavior, preferring to live and move in flocks. They follow a daily pattern of grazing and ruminating, commonly during the cooler hours of dawn and dusk. Sheep exhibit a strong flocking instinct and hierarchical structure, largely grounded in age and physical strength. They are not known for territorial behaviors, and the flock's movements are largely dictated by the need for fresh grazing territories.
