Oldenburger emanates from the fertile marshlands of Northwestern Germany, evolved as a dual-purpose farm animal circa 17th century. Known for their powerful physique, their convergence upon muscularity and agility has historically been channeled into labor-intensive farm work, and now into competitive dressage and jumping.
