 Natrix natrix corsa is an exquisite example of adaptation, demonstrating an exceptional swimming ability that enhances its predominant aquatic lifestyle. This species also exhibits an interesting behavior during times of threat - it employs thanatosis, or feigning death, as a reliable defense mechanism. Remarkably, natrix natrix corsa is known for it's ovoviviparous reproduction, giving birth to live young, emphasizing its resilience in variable ecological conditions.
