Description
Microhyla pulchra is a species of narrow-mouthed frog found in northeastern India, southern China, and Southeast Asia south to at least Thailand but possibly as far south as Malaysia and Singapore. It has also been introduced to Guam.

Appearance
Beautiful pygmy frog is a petite amphibian with a rounded body shape and smooth shiny skin. Its primary coloration is a striking emerald green, sometimes with scattered, irregularly arranged, dark-brown patches. The belly is plain white. It is distinguished by a dark stripe running from its snout to its large round eyes, which are adorned by vertical pupils. Both sexes and all ages have similar appearances, with no significant variations.
Behavior
Beautiful pygmy frog is primarily active at night, exhibiting nocturnal habits of foraging and calling. Known for its individualistic behavior, it prefers solitude to group interaction.
