Microhyla berdmorei (common names: Berdmore's chorus frog, Berdmore's narrow-mouthed frog, Burmese microhylid frog, large pygmy frog, Pegu rice frog) is a species of narrow-mouthed frog found in eastern India, Bangladesh, southernmost China (Yunnan), Mainland Southeast Asia as well as Borneo and Sumatra. Frogs from Bangladesh probably represent an unnamed species.

Pegu rice frog primarily consumes small invertebrates, with an emphasis on ants and beetles. It actively hunts these prey at night, using a sit-and-wait strategy to feed in its damp habitats.
Appearance
The pegu rice frog is a diminutive frog, typically measuring under 3 cm. It has a compact, oval-shaped body with smooth skin. The species exhibits variegated coloration, predominantly brown with spots or stripes of contrasting black or cream, aiding in camouflage among leaf litter. Notably, it possesses a sharp, V-shaped mark between its eyes. The hind limbs are robust, facilitating its jumping ability. There are no substantial visual differences between age groups, genders or subspecies.
Behavior
Pegu rice frog is a nocturnal, terrestrial species that primarily resides in leaf litter and grassland environments. Being solitary in nature, it exhibits a unique 'rain call' behavior during the monsoon season for mating. This species is skilled in camouflage, blending effortlessly into its natural surroundings to avoid predators.
