Description
Mediodactylus russowii, also known as the Transcaspian bent-toed gecko or grey thin-toed gecko, is a species of lizard in the family Gekkonidae. It is found from Russia to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, northeastern Iran, nortwestern China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Transcaspian bent-toed gecko is small-sized, measuring about 10-14 cm in total length. It has a stout, cylindrical body with scaly, granulated rough skin. Its base color varies from light brown to gray, often with irregular dark patches. These geckos have short, sturdy limbs and a thick, distinctly segmented tail. Males are generally more robust than females and exhibit swollen bases of the tail, an indication of their sexual maturity.
