Mantella baroni (common names Baron's mantella, variegated golden frog or Madagascar poison frog) is a species of frog in the Mantellidae family.

Baron's mantella sustains mostly on a diet comprising of small, soft-bodied invertebrates. Notably, it has a marked preference for ants and termites. This habit of feeding on tiny arthropods contributes to its unique skin alkaloids.
Appearance
The baron's mantella is a small, compact frog with smooth skin. Measuring just two to three centimeters in length, it exhibits a vibrant green and black coloration, with distinctive yellow or orange spots or bands on the inner thighs. Males have slightly more vivid colors compared to females. No significant differences exist in appearance due to age or subspecies.
