Appearance
Whirring tree frog is a medium-sized frog with a streamlined body and smooth, moist skin. Its overall coloration is a rich turquoise, marked distinctively with bold black bands. Adult males have protruding vocal sacs, while females are slightly larger but lack these sacs. The frog has large eyes with vertical slits, long hind limbs, and webbed feet, attributed to its natural habitat among the coastal swamps and lagoons.
Behavior
Whirring tree frog is an arboreal, nocturnal species found in moist forest environments. Notably social, they often congregate around water sources, displaying distinctive chorus behavior during rainfall events for mate attraction.
