Description
The broad-palmed frog (Litoria latopalmata) is an Australian ground-dwelling tree frog. It is native to much of eastern Australia. They can be found from mid-Queensland to south of Sydney. It is associated with the coast and inland, and is distributed as far west in New South Wales to the SA border.

Appearance
Broad-palmed rocket frog is a medium-sized frog with a robust build, smooth skin, and a characteristic bumpy dorsum. Its skin ranges from bright green to olive, often with dark mottling. Adult males possess two considerably large vocal sacs. The undersides are pale, and the limbs have dark banding. Notably, its toes are partially webbed and its fingers totally unwebbed.
Behavior
Broad-palmed rocket frog exhibits a primarily arboreal and nocturnal lifestyle, which includes foraging for insects during the night and resting in tree hollows during the day. Unusually, the mating rituals of broad-palmed rocket frog use acoustic communication due to large vocal sacs. This species is commonly solitary, exhibiting territorial aggression during the breeding season.
