Appearance
Peat swamp frog is a medium-sized amphibian with a sturdy, robust build. It has smooth skin that is primarily mottled brown, providing excellent camouflage in its damp, leafy habitat. The legs are muscular and adapted for jumping, with webbed toes for swimming. Males are distinguished by their larger size and the unique vocal sacs appearing as swollen areas at the corners of their mouths.
Behavior
Peat swamp frog is primarily nocturnal, exhibiting significant movement during the night. It demonstrates territorial characteristics, defending its space from intruders with aggressive postures and vocalizations.
