Description
The fanged river frog, Javan giant frog, Malaya wart frog, or stone creek frog (Limnonectes macrodon) is a species of frog in the Dicroglossidae family endemic to Sumatra and Java, Indonesia. Records from other regions are probably caused by misidentifying other species such as Limnonectes blythii as this species.

Diet
The dietary habits of javan giant frog are predominantly carnivorous, with a strong predilection towards invertebrates. It primarily consumes insects, especially aquatic larvae, and small crustaceans. This species is also known to supplement its diet with small fish when available.
Appearance
Javan giant frog is a medium-sized frog known for its heavily-webbed feet and robust body structure. Its skin is predominantly dark brown, fading to a lighter hue on its belly. Black spots are a distinct feature across its dorsal surface. Males and females are visually similar; however, males usually have larger heads and protruding jawlines.
