Description
A beautiful snake native to Central and South America, the central american banded cat-eyed snake can be found in moist forests and at the edges of swamps and boggy areas. It ranges in color from light yellow-brown to bright reddish brown and has rhombus-shaped patches. It is a rear-fanged, slightly venomous snake that hunts frogs and lizards, but can also defend itself with a painful, bee sting-like bite.
