Behavior
New Caledonian Sea Krait is a solitary, nocturnal sea snake. It primarily displays a semi-terrestrial behavior, basking on rocks or beaches during the day before foraging for food in nearshore marine waters at night. It is non-aggressive, only displaying defensive posturing when threatened. It does not display territorial behavior.
