Diet
Flower pot toad primarily thrives on a diet of small insects. Distinct preferences for termites, ants, and spiders characterize its dietary habits, while occasional consumption of small crustaceans forms an essential part of its nutritional intake.
Appearance
The flower pot toad is a small, round-bodied frog with smooth, moist skin. Its dominant coloration is brown with irregular dark spots amid a white underbelly. Adults have a broad, flattened snout and hind legs adapted for burrowing. There's no significant distinction between the appearances of different ages, genders, or subspecies.
Behavior
Flower pot toad is a nocturnal species known for its fossorial behavior, creating burrows for shelter and moisture retention. Mostly solitary, they only gather for mating. Remarkably, they possess an adaptive behavior of inflating their bodies when threatened.
