Diet
Yellow Toad thrives mainly on a diet of small invertebrates, with a strong preference for ants and termites. Intricately adapted, it utilizes its specialized buccal apparatus to effectively consume these minute organisms.
Appearance
Yellow Toad is a medium-sized amphibian with a hefty, broad body and moist, glandular skin. It has a distinct coloration, predominantly shades of brown, interspersed with yellowish or greenish hues. A dark, lateral stripe often extends from the eye to the groin area. Adults may display tubercles on their hind limbs. There is no significant variation in physical attributes due to age, gender, or subspecies.
Behavior
Yellow Toad is a semi-aquatic species predominantly found in lowland habitats. Active during the nighttime, it engages in foraging for a carnivorous diet, majorly consisting of small invertebrates. It's habitual to form congregations during the breeding season, indicating a degree of social interaction.
