   Appearance
 With a long, slender body and rough, scaly skin, iguana iguana iguana can reach up to 6 feet in length, including its whip-like tail. This lizard species predominantly showcases a bright green coloration, offering effective camouflage within its tropical habitat. It possesses rows of pointed scales running down its back, and adults have a notable flap of skin, known as a dewlap, underneath their chin.
