Description
Hyperolius swynnertoni is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae. It is found in the southern portion of the eastern Zimbabwe uplands and adjacent Mozambique. It is also known as the Swynnerton's reed frog, with the subspecies "broadleyi" (if recognized) as the Broadley's tree frog or Broadley's forest treefrog.

Swynnerton's reed frog sustains primarily on a diet of small arthropods, especially insects, with a notable preference for ants and beetles. They proficiently adapt their feeding behavior according to prey availability.
Appearance
Swynnerton's reed frog is a small, slim-bodied frog possessing smooth skin. Its primary hue is vibrant green, often enriched with contrasting dark brown patches. It distinguishes itself with a red or yellow line running from its nose to its vent. Sexes are distinct, with males bearing brighter colors and a conspicuous vocal sac. Young frogs display less prominent coloration compared to mature ones.
Behavior
Swynnerton's reed frog displays mainly nocturnal activity, foraging and calling from branches after nightfall in a solitary manner. It has an interesting territorial behavior wherein males mark their presence with distinctive vocalizations, repelling other males. Being arboreal, swynnerton's reed frog uses colors and patterns for camouflage, enhancing survival in its forest habitats.
