Appearance
La palma glass frog is a tiny glass frog with a heart shape body, reaching a length of only 2.5 – 3.2 cm. Distinguishable by its transparent abdominal skin demonstrating internal organs, it boasts a lime green back and yellowish tinge on its belly. The ivory-white dots scattered on its back and limbs render a unique pattern. No significant differences in appearance exist due to age, gender, or subspecies.
Behavior
La palma glass frog is a largely nocturnal species, active predominantly during twilight hours. Notoriously solitary, only coming into contact with others during mating.
