Description
 The yellow-headed gecko or white-throated gecko (Gonatodes albogularis) is a species of gecko found in warm parts of Central and South America, and as an introduced species, in Florida.

 Yellow-headed gecko primarily subsists on various types of arthropods. This includes smaller insects such as ants and spiders, with larvae occasionally supplementing their regular diet. Their foraging behaviour is primarily diurnal. 
   Appearance
 Yellow-headed gecko is a small gecko species with cylindrical bodies covered by smooth, granular skin. Males exhibit vibrant colors with a black body, blue or yellow spots, and a bright yellow throat. Conversely, females are usually brown or tan. They notably carry flattened tails. Juveniles share similar coloring to females but often have bolder and more distinct markings. 
   Behavior
 Yellow-headed gecko is well-known for its diurnal, solitary lifestyle exhibiting territorial displays via throat inflation and head bobbing. This species primarily forages among leaf litter, consuming small invertebrates. Notably, females have specific nesting behaviors, preferring exposed substrates for egg-deposition under direct sunlight.
