Diet
Common four-clawed gecko is an insectivorous species, predominantly feasting on small arthropods. Preferential in its diet are small insects, especially ants and termites, which form the major portion of its nutritional intake.
Appearance
Common four-clawed gecko is a small arboreal gecko with smooth skin and a flat body perfect for climbing. Its primary coloration is a pale grey or tan, often with patches or mottled patterns of dark brown. This species lacks unique features such as horns or wings. Notably, there is no significant difference in appearance between genders or throughout life stages. Its distinct toe pads allow for effective movement on slick surfaces.
Behavior
The common four-clawed gecko is a nocturnal creature that prefers a solitary lifestyle. This species is known for its exceptional climbing skills and agility, ideal for its arboreal habitat. Instead of vocalization, the common four-clawed gecko communicates primarily through chemical signals. An adaptive survivalist, it favors body hiding and freezing when confronted by predators.
