Description
The brown lemur (Eulemur fulvus) is a primate species from the family of the common lemurs (Lemuridae) within the lemurs (Lemuriformes). The Sanford lemur, the red lemur, the red-faced lemur, the bald lemur, the white-lipped lemur, and the collared lemur, all of which were previously classified as their subspecies, are now considered independent species.

Appearance
