Appearance
Jardine river turtle is a medium-sized freshwater turtle with a smooth, oval carapace that is typically a reddish-brown to black color. The plastron is usually cream or yellow. With rounded heads, small eyes and short claws, these aquatic creatures have powerful webbed hind legs for swimming. The tail is relatively long with a serrated underside.
