Description
Draco maculatus, commonly known as the spotted flying dragon, is a species of agamid flying lizard endemic to Southeast Asia. It is capable of gliding from tree to tree.

Appearance
Asian gliding lizard is a small, slender lizard with a flattened triangular head and thin long tail. It has bright, smooth scales that are primarily brown, but adorned distinctively with white spots. Its unique feature is the presence of wing-like structures on the side of the body which it uses for gliding. There is no significant visual difference between the genders or due to age in this species.
Behavior
Asian gliding lizard is a solitary arboreal reptile known for its striking gliding behavior. This species exhibits distinctive posturing and color displays in territorial defense. Primarily insectivorous, asian gliding lizard employs a sit-and-wait tactic for hunting. Males, unique in defending multiple territories, court females through head-bobbing and push-up displays.
