Diet
Boomslang, commonly known as the boomslang, is primarily an ophiophagous animal, feeding on various types of serpents. It also has a high predilection for chameleons and small birds, which forms a notable part of its dietary regimen.
Appearance
Boomslang is a medium-sized snake, with a slender body covered with smooth scales. Its primary coloration is olive green, which helps in camouflage. The back of the body is adorned with black crossbars, its belly is cream to yellow. It has a pointed snout and possesses a pair of elongated, grooved fangs. This snake does not exhibit notable differences in appearance due to age, gender, or subspecies.
Behavior
Boomslang is largely arboreal and solitary, renowned for its ambush hunting style. Its venomous bite delivers neurotoxic venom, critical for subduing prey.
