Description
The eastern two-line dragon is a diurnal agamid lizard species, native to the arid regions of Australia. Its ecological role is chiefly as a mid-level predator, feeding on smaller vertebrates and insects. Exceptionally, it has developed a unique strategy for thermoregulation in the high temperatures of its habitat, rotating the body to align or misalign with the sun's rays, thus deriving optimal warmth or shade as needed. This ability enhances its survivability in extreme conditions.
