Description
Delma molleri (commonly known as Gulfs delma, olive legless lizard and patternless delma) is a small , limbless lizard found in southern South Australia around the Adelaide Hills, and pretty common in Adelaide suburbs. Delma molleri has been recorded from a variety of habitats ranging from grassland to woodland beneath rocks, timber, and rubbish.

Gulfs delma sustains on a primarily insectivorous diet, specialized in consuming termites and ants. This species exhibits adept hunting skills, actively excavating soil to access their unforeseen prey.
Appearance
Gulfs delma is a slender, elongated lizard, typically measuring under 10 cm. It has smooth, glossy skin that is typically a sandy brown color, which aids in camouflage. Its head tapers into a pointed snout, and its tail is roughly equal to its body length. There are no significant differences in appearance due to age or gender.
Behavior
Gulfs delma display a generally crepuscular activity pattern, becoming active during twilight hours. This solitary species typically burrows underground in sandy terrain during daytime hours, exhibiting outstanding burrowing abilities for survival.
