Diet
Crested dragon primarily sustains itself on a diet of invertebrates. It has an inclination towards ants, termites, and small beetles, often combing the ground in search of these prey. Occasionally, it also consumes plant matter.
Appearance
Crested dragon is a medium-sized lizard with a streamlined body and rough, scaly skin. It showcases a striking colour variation from brown to green, basking in a glossy sheen under sunlight. Its head is elongated with a distinctly high, crest-like ridge. Males often display brighter colours and larger crests compared to females. Juveniles are more cryptic, blending into the background with a duller hue.
Behavior
Crested dragon is a primarily solitary, terrestrial creature with highly territorial instincts. They display visually striking displays, posture changes, push-ups, and color changes during combats and courtship to establish dominance.
