Description
The linecaped snake snake (Conophis lineatus) is a snake species that belongs to the genus Conophis in the Dipsadidae family, native to southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Colombia. habitat consists of tropical and subtropical humid and dry forest, and open spaces such as savannas.Its altitude ranges from 0 to 1500 meters above sea level.It is a terrestrial and day snake that feeds mainly on lizards (often Ameiva and Cnemodophorus) and the eggs of birds that nest in the ground (eg, pigeons).
