Bonaire whiptail is a lizard of moderate size with a slender, elongated body and smooth, scaly skin. Its hues usually range from tan to olive green, frequently with dark stripes running lengthwise. It possesses long legs and a tapered tail that is often twice as long as its body. Males are usually larger than females and have broader heads and larger jowls.
Behavior
Bonaire whiptail exhibits an omnivorous foraging behavior, primarily feeding on plant matter and small insects. It is a diurnal species, predominantly active during daylight hours.
