Description
The narrow-bridged musk turtle (Claudius angustatus) is a species in the family Kinosternidae found in Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. As of 2010, it is the only recognised extant species in the genus Claudius.

Narrow-bridged musk turtle is primarily omnivorous, skewing towards vegetarianism, indulging in vegetation, fruits, bark, and some crustaceans. Its strong mandibles allow it to break apart tougher plant material.
Behavior
Narrow-bridged musk turtle is a nocturnal creature, moving and feeding primarily during twilight. During the day, it hides under rocks or burrows into fine sediment. It is a known wave swinger, using its legs for propulsion in search of food. Solitary by nature, narrow-bridged musk turtle interacts with its kind only during mating season.
