Appearance
Marbled gecko is a small gecko with a flattened, streamlined body. Its smooth, granular skin displays a marbled pattern of grey, cream, and brown hues. Both sexes share this coloration, with no significant difference between age groups or subspecies. This lizard has a rounded head, large, lidless eyes, and a long tail, which may regenerate if lost.
Behavior
Marbled gecko is predominantly nocturnal with strong arboreal tendencies, skillfully traversing tree branches and rock faces using specialized toe pads. Often solitary, it prefers to live in individual territories, marked by scratching and vocalizations. Mainly an insectivore, its diet consists of small arthropods, supplemented occasionally with nectar and soft fruits.
