Description
Found in mountain forests in several parts of South America, The mountain sipo is a terrestrial snake that climbs into shrubs or the forest canopy to sleep. Its name, Sipo, comes from the Portuguese word for "vine", which it resembles, this camouflage helping to protect it while it sleeps.
