Description
The ecuador sipo is a terrestrial snake that forages for prey at ground level, but climbs into shrubs or the forest canopy to sleep. It is found in several parts of South America, usually in wet forests near bodies of water. Its name, Sipo, comes from the Portuguese word for "vine", which it resembles, this camouflage helping to protect it while it sleeps.
