 Southern rainbow-skink employs an insectivorous diet, with a pronounced preference for arthropods. It specifically feeds on spiders, beetles, and termites, utilizing its fast reflexes to catch these lively prey. 
   Appearance
 Southern rainbow-skink is a small lizard with a slender body and smooth, shiny skin. It exhibits a striking blue coloration, fading into black on the tail. Its distinguishing feature is the presence of four long toes on each limb. No significant differences exist in appearance due to age, gender, or subspecies. 
   Behavior
 Southern rainbow-skink follows a diurnal lifestyle, surfacing during sunlight to forage and socialize. These reptiles possess a territorial demeanour, using visual displays and physical aggression to fend off intruders. Quite social in nature, they often reside in communal basking sites, aiding them in regulating body temperature.
