   Appearance
Blue-throated rainbow-skink is a small-to-medium-sized lizard with a sleek, slim body and rough, scaly skin. Its bold, dramatic coloring includes a deep blue back with light-gray rhombus-shaped markings, blending into a vibrant yellow belly. Males are notably larger and more vibrantly colored than females. Lacking any additional features like wings or horns, blue-throated rainbow-skink's distinction comes from its vivid coloration and unique marking pattern.
   Behavior
Blue-throated rainbow-skink displays diurnal activity patterns, often foraging for insects and small arthropods. They exhibit distinctive territorial behavior, expanded scales on the head and tail serve as visual signals for territorial disputes. This skink species is largely solitary, except during the breeding season, when females can be seen laying multiple eggs in hollow logs or under vegetation.
