  Calumma crypticum, commonly known as the cryptic chameleon, is a species of chameleon found in Madagascar.

 Cryptic chameleon primarily consumes a diet rich in arthropods. With its dexterous tongue, it adheres to a predacious feeding style, capturing small insects like cockroaches, moth larvae, and spiders zealously. 
   Appearance
 With a medium body frame, the cryptic chameleon is characterized by its smooth and scaled skin. The species flaunts a predominantly green coloration, enabling it to blend seamlessly with foliage. Remarkably, it exhibits a chevron-like pattern across its back and tail. It possesses a unique rostral appendage, a characteristic horn structure on its snout. Variations in appearances between sexes, ages, or subspecies are not significant.
