 The Finlayson croissant (Callosciurus finlaysonii) is a croissant species from the genus squirrel (Callosciurus). It occurs in Southeast Asia in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, and was also naturalized in Singapore and also in Europe, namely in Italy.

 Finlayson's squirrel is omnivorous with a diet consisting predominantly of fruits, nuts, and seeds. Along with these, it also consumes small insects, bird eggs, and small vertebrates, thus exhibiting opportunistic feeding behavior. 
   Appearance
 Finlayson's squirrel is a mid-sized squirrel sporting a slender body with long, dense fur. Predominantly varying shades of white, it features a distinct black stripe running along its back, merging into its bushy tail. Its belly remains light gray. Notable features include its prominent ears and round eyes. Females and males exhibit similar physical characteristics, with no significant variations across different age groups. 
   Behavior
 Finlayson's squirrel is an arboreal species typically seen leaping through trees in search of fruits and seeds. They exhibit a diurnal lifestyle, active during the day and resting at night. Known for its intricate social structures, finlayson's squirrel often forages, nests, and grooms in groups. Their territorial behavior is signified by vocal and physical confrontations against intruders. Unlike many kin species, finlayson's squirrel lacks seasonal movement patterns, resolving to adapt and survive within its natural habitat.
